Croeso i Blwyddyn 6

We are Year 6 and are split into two classes, Class 11 and Class 12.  In Class 11 our teacher is Mr Heritage.  In Class 12 our teacher is Miss Thomas. Our year group LSA is Miss Case.

We are an ambitious, enthusiastic year group who thoroughly enjoy participating in learning.  We enjoy learning new things, respect each other and work well in a safe and happy environment.
We will listen to the children's ideas about what they would like to learn about within the topic and incorporate these ideas into our teaching and learning.  Please discuss ideas with your children and let us know.  We would love to hear your fantastic suggestions.
This term we have entered the world of global tycoons. Our inquiry question is 'How do we become global tycoons?' We have looked at different continents around the world and what makes them different. We will be researching lots of different global tycoons and discover why and how they have become so accomplished. We have explored a range of different enterprises and look forward to holding our own Colcot World Trade Fair.
This term in maths we will be looking at the four written methods of number, and study fractions, decimals and percentages, along with shape work, including area, perimeter and volume.  We will continue to consolidate our previous maths knowledge and understanding and work to solve a range of reasoning activities.   Your child can use their Times Tables Rockstar log in and Active Learn log in to support their learning in Maths.
